Peggy Wood Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Peggy Wood of Wingo, Kentucky. Peggy, born on September 9, 1948, passed away on September 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her sisters, Linda Lewis and Ellen Lewis; and her parents, Russell John and Lula Mazie Lewis. She is survived by: her husband Rodger Wood; her children, Michelle Walker (Tim) of Wingo and Michael Wood of Pryorsburg, Kentucky; her siblings, Nancy Carroll of Metropolis, Illinois, Russell Lewis (Luanne) of Metropolis and Gary Lewis of St. Louis, Missouri; and her grandchildren, Nate Wood (Christina), Tiffany Walker, Brooke Clapp (Justin), Nicole Tynes (Mitchell), Trent Wood (Stephanie Gore), Logan Wood and Taylar Watts. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell (41 US-51, Bardwell, KY 42023). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
