He was predeceased by: his father Homer; his grandson Gavin Lane; and his brother John Homer. He is survived by: his son Charles Arthur (Amy) of Wittensville, KY; his brothers, Herbert Ray (Norma) of Rockhouse, KY and Clarence Edward (Jodie) of Oil Springs, KY; his nephew Herbert Ray II of North Carolina; his nieces, Jackie of Rockhouse, KY and Nikki Salsbury of Oil Springs, KY; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jordan, Maddie, Jett, Ethan, Nash and Maddox.
