She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer "Rusty" Smith and Sylvia Maxine Meador Smith; and her sister Janice Keen. She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Lynn Cissell of Louisville, KY; her siblings, Donald Ray Smith of Dallas, TX, Roger Dale Smith (Marilyn) of Scottsville, KY, Shirley Jent of Scottsville, KY, Eva Nell Hester of Scottsville, KY and Linda Groves (Charles) of Franklin, KY; her grandchildren, Will Cissell, Amanda Whitlow and D. J. Whitlow; and her great grandchild Claire Ellen Whitlow. She is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 10th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 11th 2026 from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Goad Funeral Home (215 W Main St, Scottsville, KY 42164). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 11th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
