She was predeceased by: her parents, Barkus Vance and Lena Estal Ferell Vance; her husband Herschel Gleason "Hap" Sampson; and her siblings, Billy Vance, Nadine King, Betty Roach, Donald Vance, Linda Towe, Lena Mae Vance and Jimmie Vance.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Dodson (John) and Roy Sampson (Judy); her sister Patsy Calvert; her grandchildren, Julie Brown (Seth) and Michael Dodson (Shelby); and her great grandchildren, Neal, Thomas, Grace, Wyatt, Hazel, Sylvia and Elijah. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
