It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arthurine McDaniel Sirmon (Abbeville, Louisiana), who passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry McDaniel and Exodie McDaniel of Gueydan; and her spouse Glenn Trahan. She is survived by: her sister Barbara; her former husband Claude R. Sirmon; her daughters, Claudia Sirmon, Rachel Trahan and Michelle Hooks; her grandchildren, Amelia Rodriguez, AJ Rodriguez and Sean Hooks; her great great grandchild Amelia; and her children, Ryan Michaud and Jeremy Trahan. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A rosary was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 5:00 PM. Visitation was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:45 PM and on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Abbeville United Methodist Church (213 N State St, Abbeville, LA 70510).
