It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Istre of Abbeville, Louisiana, born in Mermentau, Louisiana, who passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Eddie Istre and Olite Viator Istre. He is survived by : his daughter Macera Lejeune; his grandson Larry Lapoint of Lake Arthur; his siblings, Alvin Istre (Dulia) of Abbeville, LA, Glenn Istre (Zula) of Gueydan, LA and Shirley Young of Hathaway, LA; his wife Melissa Broussard; and his son Kirk Lejeune. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
