It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Joseph Simon (Abbeville, Louisiana), who passed away on June 25, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Sherman Simon; his parents, Hazard Simon and Claudia Breaux; his sister Betty Simon Baudoin; and his granddaughter Shannon Simon Duhon.
He is survived by: his sons, Lynn F. Simon (Belinda), Donny L. Simon (Janet) and Dean P. Simon (Min); and his grandchildren, Lindsay Watson (Aaron), Ashley Broussard (Derek), Justin Simon (Leah), Hillary Faber (David), Tiffany Rudolph (Garrett) and Jacob Eichfeld. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville (209 S St Charles St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church (300 Pere Megret St, Abbeville, LA 70510).
