Emily left this world on September 22, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emery Guidry and Edvina Guidry (Richard); her husband Charles "Chuck" Courtier (Chuck) of Seattle, WA; her siblings, Lula Mae Bernard, Floyd and Bobby Charles Guidry; and her son-in-law Patrick Ross.
She is survived by: her children, Marsha Ross (Patrick), Meridith Stoute (Danny), John Courtier and Clay Courtier (Melissa); and her grandchildren, Grant Ross, Jennifer Ross, Neil Ross, Wesley Morton, Natalie Morton Campbell, Victoria Sagrera Bourque and Alex Courtier. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church (300 Pere Megret St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery (410 Old Kaplan Hwy, Abbeville, LA 70510).
