She was predeceased by: her husband James Presley Bernard; her parents, Uzabe Saltzman and Eve Simon; her daughter Patricia Bernard Rost; her granddaughter Zendra White-Velaquez; and her siblings, Eunice Trahan, Elias Saltzman, Marcel Saltzman and Evage Saltzman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nadine White and Kathleen Vice; and her grandchildren, Kyle Hargrave (Andre), Jace Hargrave (Shelly), Kristin Bernard and Kady Rost. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
