He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Fred Williams Thomas and Luella Parker Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Cockerham of Dequincy; his daughters, Christine Thomas Dowden and Cynthia Thomas Gates (Jim); his stepchildren, Daniel Herpin (Gay), Shannon Herpin Kimble (Alvin) and Stephanie Herpin LeBouef (Cobb); and his grandchildren, Michael Dowden (Amy), Julie Dowden Nally (Tom), Rachel Gates Hebert (Kenny), Mollie Gates, Kate Herpin Trahan (Trae), Ross Herpin (Brittany), Chip LeBouef (Elizabeth) and Leah LeBouef Servat (Ryan). He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
