Iris Mire DuBois, born on December 22, 1930 in Kaplan, Louisiana, passed away on September 3, 2026. Iris leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Fils DuBois; her parents, Sagnes Mire and Agnes Cormier; and her sisters, Irene Bourque and Lewellyn Breaux.

She is survived by: her son Steve DuBois (Karen); her grandchildren, Michelle Trahan and Kecia Broussard (Brent); and her siblings, Paul Mire, Melvin Touchet, Shirlene Smith and Deloris Breaux. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville (209 S St Charles St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery (300 Pere Megret St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A rosary was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 6:30 PM.
