He was predeceased by: his parents, Remy Romero and Leonida Maturin Romero; his wife Beverly Frederick Romero; his son-in-law Gregory Suire; his sister Lona Romero Meaux; and his sibling's children, Lester Meaux, Jimmy Richard and Anna Cessac.
He is survived by: his children, Deanna R. Broussard (Kenneth), Patricia R. Suire (Freddie) and Kurt Romero (Joan); and his grandchildren, Heather Landry, Chad Broussard, Lori Broussard, Nathan Romero (Allie), Ashley Meaux (Kody), Trenton Romero (Julie), Emily Mire (Baine) and Karly Segura.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville (209 S St Charles St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church (300 Pere Megret St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
