He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy "Kaplan" Lege and Zoie Marie LeBlanc Lege (Abbeville); his daughter Bonnie Kaye Lege; and his son-in-law Davlon Rost. He is survived by: his wife Clara Joyce Hebert Lege; his children, Connie Rost, Jodie Bertrand (Roy, Jr.), Toni Williams (James, Jr.), Michelle Hebert (Blair), Terry Lege (Angelle), Duane Lege (Courtney) and Randall Lege (Mario); and his sisters, Joycie Broussard (Curtis) and Cheryl Meaux. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 8:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Vincent Funeral Home (209 S St Charles St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A rosary was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church (300 Pere Megret St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery (300 Pere Megret St, Abbeville, LA 70510).
