She was predeceased by: her husband Doely Ruston Vaughn; her parents, Dennie Sandifer and Alma Slade; her sons, Darwin Vaughn, Ricky Vaughn and Douglas Vaughn; her siblings, Ronald Wayne Sandifer, Roxie Sandifer, Jean Cotten and Peggy Cedatol; and her brother-in-law J. C. Shelton.
She is survived by: her children, Desiree M. Vaughn, Rusty Vaughn (Sandy), Scotty Vaughn (Diana), Dennie Vaughn (Stephanie) and Derrick Vaughn; and her siblings, Danny Sandifer (Pam) and Deborah L. Shelton. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home (209 S St Charles St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the St Paul Cemetery.
