He was predeceased by: his wife Goldie Marie Broussard Bergeron; his parents, Irvin Bergeron and Abbie Lege; and his sister Velma Bergeron Romero. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Bergeron, Marlene Chaisson (Don), Lonnie Bergeron (Diane) and Randy Bergeron (June); and his grandchildren, Tammy Riche', Denise Husband, Kimberly Duhon, Julie Chaisson, Lisa Breaux, Jarrod Bergeron, Ryan Bergeron and Jacob Bergeron. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville (209 S St Charles St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A rosary was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home (209 S St Charles St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville (209 S St Charles St, Abbeville, LA 70510).
