He was predeceased by: his wife Velma Demet Menard; his son Donald Menard; his great grandchildren, Karli Touchet, Aubrie Uriegas, Sha and Colon; his parents, Ovey Menard and Emily Martin; and his sisters, Lillie Mae Hollier and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his children, Rickey Menard (Belinda) of Morse, Ray "Butch" Menard (Tammy) of Scott, Rodney Menard (Janet) of Forked Island, Robert Menard of Forked Island, Roy Menard (Cindy) of Forked Island and Debbie LeBlanc (Craig) of Forked Island; and his sister Lucy Guidry of Kaplan. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM and on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Vincent Funeral Home (300 N Eleazar Ave, Kaplan, LA 70548). A rosary was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A procession was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anne Catholic Church (17315 Lionel Rd, Abbeville, LA 70510). A burial was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Harrington Cemetery.
