We are sad to announce that on June 20, 2025, at the age of 91, Lucien Marks Jr. of Abbeville, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucien Marks and Adia Stelly. He is survived by: his wife Elsie Hardy Marks; his son Francis Marks (Jessica); his grandsons, Zachariah (Nikita) and Isaac (Rosie); and his stepchildren, Ingrid, Zephyr, Noah, Heron and Jediah. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville (209 S St Charles St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A rosary was held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at 174 Church St, Grand Coteau, LA 70541.
His commitment to his community extended beyond his work; he was a dedicated member of the Louisiana Eye Foundation, a past district governor of the Lions Club, and a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
