He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph David "Papa Joe" Russo and Caroline Josephine Russo (Daniel Picard); and his siblings, Peter, David, Robert Russo, Theresa Russo Bourgeois and Josephine Ann Russo.
He is survived by: his sons, David Russo and Russell Russo (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Rebecca, Alayna and Nicholas Russo; and his brother William "Bubba" Russo (Patricia). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A rosary will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church (300 Pere Megret St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
He was also a member of the Abbeville High Boosters' Club, and the LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation.
