It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jacob Paul Jones of Acadiana, Louisiana, born in Bogalusa, Louisiana, who passed away on December 31, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Thelma Kemp Jones; his daughter Paula Jones; his parents, Ernest Eugene and Margaret Alma McGee Jones; and his siblings, Delos Jones, Woodrow Jones, James "Jimmy" Jones, Myra Jenkins and Jessie Mae Bateman.

He is survived by : his daughter Cheryl Jones Cockrell (Brent) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Paul Cockrell and Leah Landers (Shane) of Lafayette; and his great grandchildren, Jacob Paul Cockrell and Juliet Landers.
