It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeannie Boudreaux Matthews of Acadiana, Louisiana, born in Coleman, Texas, who passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Paul F. Matthews; her parents, Edwin Edward and Velma Mae Fields Boudreaux; her brothers, Henry Boudreaux, James Boudreaux and Carroll Boudreaux; and her grandson Logan Latiolais.

She is survived by : her children, Paula Matthews Fremin (Jonathan) of Youngsville, LA and Cory Matthews (Mary) of Boulder, CO; her siblings, Harold Boudreaux (Dianne) of New Iberia, Gloria Burton (Johnnie) of Columbia, TN and Pam Duhon (Butch) of New Iberia; her sisters-in-law, Sue Boudreaux of Delcambre, LA and Gloria Boudreaux of Youngsville; her grandchildren, Landon Fremin (Emma), Ivy Matthews, Macy Matthews and Annie Matthews; and her great grandchild Griffin Fremin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
