He is survived by: his sons, Rodney Owens, Jr. and Blake Owens (Larrilyn); his grandchildren, Karleigh, Kayden, Bryson Owens and Eli; and his siblings, Max Owens (Barbara), Paul Owens (Margo) and Lily Owens Williams (Mitch).
