He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Ahrens and Kateé Fenstermaker Ahrens; his former wife Marwood Enis Ahrens; and the mother of his children Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Janet Gates Ahrens; his children, Taylor Alexander (Christopher), Haley Bryant (Bart), Abby Hannie and Ab Ahrens (Kathi); his siblings, Edward Ahrens and Kay Harmon (Bobby); and his grandchildren, Ian, Eli, Elise Alexander, Corey, Quinn, Archie Ahrens, Amelia, Audrey Hannie, Ruth and Annie Bryant.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to River Oaks Art Square in Alexandria or other charities of your choice.
