Betty Mae Delcomyn Obituary

Services for Betty Mae Delcomyn will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, May 2, 2021, in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Father Rich Snow, Rector of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens. The family requests visitation be held Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Delcomyn, 93, of Alexandria passed from this life, Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was a member of Family of Grace, formerly Baptist Temple. During her working career she worked and retired from the Jewelry Department at Howard Brothers in Pineville. She enjoyed many activities, including, Fishing, Gardening and Crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Delcomyn, Sr.; daughter, Mary Emma Delcomyn Grace; parents, Joseph and Maude Guillotte Salisbury; siblings, Everett Salisbury, Pete Salisbury, Dolores Mire, Robert Salisbury; grandson, Michael Buckley. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Priscilla Morrow and husband, Gary, Jack H. Delcomyn, Jr. and wife, Judy, and Betty Jo Buckley and husband, Wayne; sister, Roberta Kliest; her 9 grandchildren, Kelli Morrow Merriman, Mary Delcomyn Tank, Jeremy Morrow, Sheila Delcomyn Urton, Betty Jo Delcomyn Dodge, Jason Buckley, Jackie Lynn Delcomyn Cozier, Eric Grace and Cody Grace; 15 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Morrow, Jason Buckley, Cody Grace, Christopher Keller, Taylor Urton and Tyrus Urton. The family would like to express special thanks and appreciation to Betsy, Mitzie, Darnetta, Connie and Sissy.
