She was predeceased by: her parents, Barry Dauzat and Earline Mayeaux Dauzat; and her siblings, Victoria Dauzat Anderson and Jerry Dauzat. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Sherwood Simms Sr.; her son Joseph "Joey"; and her grandchildren, Amanda Elizabeth Simms, Clayton Joseph Simms, Mollie Kate Simms and Grady Michael Simms.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Kramer Funeral Home (2905 Masonic Dr, Alexandria, LA 71301). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
