He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Monroe and Ethel Mayes Brown; his wife Virginia Short Brown; and his granddaughter Emily Marie Ates. He is survived by: his children, Jana McCoy (Jerry) of Flower Mound, Mindy Wilk (Cory) of Lewisville, Dan Brown (Mary) of Alexandria, Allison Ates (Robby) of Dallas and Amy Knapp (Andy) of Frisco, Texas.; and his sisters, Nancy Brown, Gaye Ortis, Kitty Linde and Hilda Barkate. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
