With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Brenda Darlene Thomason (Alexandria, Louisiana), born in Montgomery, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 7, 2025 at the age of 68. As Brenda departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Brenda may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Brenda leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester "Petesy" DuBois and Ella Mae Waters DuBois; her brother Raymond Sylvester DuBois; and her son Johnathan Lance Thomason. She is survived by: her husband John Calvin Thomason, Jr.; her daughters, Melinda Michelle Wise (John) and Tammy Darlene Marcum; and her siblings, Cynthia Gaye DuBois and Terryl Vaughn DuBois. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Hargis Baptist Church (1313 LA-122, Montgomery, LA 71454). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
