She was predeceased by: her parents, J. D. Lile and Lorine Lile; and her children, Claude A. Mitchell, Jr. and Bonnie Mitchell Jones. She is survived by: her husband Claude A. Mitchell, Sr. of Alexandria; her children, Diana Megison (David) of Bentley, Cheri Childress (Robert) of Deridder, Alice Rodriguez (Jack) of Prospect, Kerry Mitchell of Dallas and Michelle Devalcourt (Robert) of Abita Springs; her daughters-in-law, Lisa Mitchell (Claude Jr.) of Knoxville, TN and Thomas Lee Jones (Bonnie) of Columbia, SC; and her great great grandchild Mama Mia. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren.
Carol was a very generous and giving person and donated to many organizations. In lieu of plants or flowers, charitable donations may be given to your favorite charity in her honor.
