With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Chris Nayak of Alexandria, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 24, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Arumanayakam and Mariamma. He is survived by: his siblings, Cicily Thomas and Arun; his sister-in-law Jaya Lawrence; and his nieces and nephews, Melvin Thomas, Sandhya Thomas, Telma Stephen, Dr. Valentine Stephen, Sonai Kunnumpurath, Yesudasan Sujith, Sumith Yesudasan, James Lawrence and Cindy Lawrence.
In 1987, he was welcomed in Alexandria by Bishop John Favalora and hired by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word as the priest-chaplain at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.
