Donald Lee Lachney Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2025, at the age of 86, Donald Lee Lachney (Alexandria, Louisiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Forest Lachney and Bernadette Elisabeth Gueringer Lachney; his daughter Tamara "Tammy" Louise Lachney; his grandsons, Austin Lee Lachney and Jackson Ian Lachney; his brothers, Aylwin L. Lachney, Lloyd J. Lachney and Lonnie L. Lachney; and his daughter-in-law Samantha Lachney.
He is survived by: his wife Ellenor Hope Leavines Lachney; his children, Donald Gregory Lachney (Lisa), Gary Steven Lachney (Susan), Jeffery Lee Lachney (Fonda), Gina Yvette Lachney, Louis Burton Lachney (Christy), Alton Rodney Lachney and Eric Ross Lachney (Ellen); his grandchildren, Kyle Lachney (Brittany), Justin Lachney (Rachel), Aimee Gary (Ryan), Erin Ray (Daniel), Chance Lachney (Sara), Chelsea Seifert (Christopher), Tabitha Normand, Abigail Lachney, Ethan Lachney (Paula), Jordan Lachney, Haleigh Lachney, Maycee Lachney, Tanner Lachney, Ema Kingston, Tyler Lachney, Jacqueline Lachney and Shelby Lachney; and his great grandchildren, Maggie Lachney, Molly Lachney, Elijah Lachney, Annabeth Lachney, Samantha Gary, Rilyn Gary, Ellaina Ray, Anaya Ray, Rhett Lachney, Colt Lachney, Sadie Seifert, Andrew Normand, Gabriella Normand, Graelin Normand, Augustin Normand, Tinslee Thomas and Oryn Lachney. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A rosary was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Kramer Chapel (2905 Masonic Dr, Alexandria, LA 71301). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Rita Catholic Church (4401 Bayou Rapides Rd, Alexandria, LA 71303).
