He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Mendel and Emma Mendel; his sisters, Helen, Florence, Frances and Berniece; and his wife Natalie Mendel.
He is survived by: his sons, Edward Holland and Mathew Holland; his granddaughter Alina Holland; and his stepdaughters, Nelda Lavespere and Mary Lavespere. He is also survived by three step-grandchildren; and five step-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Rush Funeral Home - Pineville (3307 Monroe Hwy, Pineville, LA 71360). A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (4000 Monroe Hwy, Ball, LA 71405).
