It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elbert Alton Smith of Alexandria, Louisiana, who passed away on June 10, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou Branch Smith; his sons, Robert Erwin Smith and Ronald Elton Smith; his parents, John Bert and Sylvia Morrison Smith; his daughter-in-law Lynnda Smith; his granddaughter Amy Dubea; and his sisters, Leola Hagan, Lavern Wellman and Oleta Boswell.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Smith of Hineston and Rhonda Gaspard (Channon) of Alexandria; his brother Delbert Smith (Shirley) of Otis; and his grandchildren, Tonya Kropp, Rikki Sasser, Courtney Blazek (Joshua), Laken Afeman, Jonathan Smith and Joshua Chandler (Victoria). He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
