It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Lee Thiels of Alexandria, Louisiana, who passed away on February 11, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Jerome Thiels and Lillie Mae Andries Thiels; and his wife Edna Ruth Johnson Thiels. He is survived by: his children, Shawn Picard of Pine Praire, LA, Deanna Berube (Stephen) of Yorkville, IL and Jude Thiels (Lisa) of Alexandria, LA; and his siblings, Margaret Esther T. Gagnon (Richard) of Alexandria, LA, Cynthia Ann "Cindy" T. Deville (David) of Otis, Marvin Jerome Thiels (Lauris) of Elmer, LA, Gary Paul Thiels of Alexandria, LA and David Gerard Thiels of Chatham, LA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
