He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Wetherington and Beulah Channell Wetherington; his former wife Migna Wetherington; his wife Delores Wetherington; his daughter Angela Capello; his brother Carroll Wetherington; and his brother-in-law Jackie Hartwick.

He is survived by: his son-in-law Kenny Capello; his grandsons, Nicholas Capello (Amy) and Lance Capello (Coty); his great grandchildren, Bianca Capello, Fiona Capello and Aria Capello; his siblings, Iva Lee Hartwick and Roy Cleveland Wetherington (Virginia); and his sister-in-law Joyce Wetherington.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home (848 Keyser Ave, Natchitoches, LA 71457). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM at the Memory Lawn Cemetery.
