He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Harold and Velva Hicks Jarvis; and his daughter Elizabeth Jarvis Lockey. He is survived by: his wife Martha Gatlin Jarvis; his sons, Harold Jarvis (Lisa) and Brad Jarvis; his brother Paul Jarvis; and his grandchildren, Ashlyn Overholt, Lacey Lockey, Matt Jarvis (Caytlyn), Colton Jarvis, Nicholas Jarvis (Kaytlin) and Caleb Jarvis. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends.
