It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Helanus R. Mack Sr. (Alexandria, Louisiana), who passed away at the age of 77, on October 9, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lounell Brumfield and Wilton Mack; and his former wife Betty S. Mack. He is survived by: his wife Linda W. Mack; his children, Helanus R. Mack Jr. (Kena), Eleanor Nicole Mack and Rachel Martin Lee (Robert); and his grandchildren, Hailey N. Mack, Kaelyn L. Mack, Amir J. Sapp, Ayana J. Johnson and Jeremiah C. Martin. He is also survived by his siblings, and a host of relatives and friends.

If we didn’t talk for months or sometimes years, connecting with him was as if we had spoken the day before and we would talk for hours upon hours with joy, laughter, understanding and ease. I love Mack wholeheartedly and will continue to talk with him until we meet again. Mack owns a huge chunk of real estate in my heart. With love and friendship.”
