She is survived by: her husband Edward Ragan Nelson, Sr. of Alexandria; her children, Frank Jody Sanders of San Antonio, TX., Karen Sanders of Alexandria, Sharon Sanders Chism of Alexandria and Edward Ragan Nelson, Jr. of Alexandria; and her sister Joann Sherman Laborde of Marksville. She is also survived by six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.
