He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Broadway and Myrtie Sims Broadway; his wife Shirley Jean Floyd Broadway; his sons, Garry D. Broadway and Jerry P. Broadway; and his siblings, Delores Ivy, Faye Powell, Barbara Jordan, Lorene Oxley, Ima DuBois, Alice Taylor, Junior Broadway, Curtis "Hoss" Broadway and Julius Broadway.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Broadway (David), Beverly Creighton (Joey), Jennifer Olliff (Randy), Jeffery Broadway (Sunny) and Lane D. Broadway (Kim); his siblings, Linda Cobb and Jerry W. "Bo" Broadway; and his close friend Geraldine Jenkins. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
