He was predeceased by: his parents, John F Day and Johnnie Mae Day; his siblings, Billy Rickey, Marty and Nancy; and his son John Samuel (John David Day).
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Teresa (Kerry Chanson Jessica), Jacob (Allyson Woolley), Hailey, Mikey LaNoue, Bryleigh, Emily Moses and Angela Sullivan. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
