It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Patrick Reynolds of Alexandria, Louisiana, born in New Iberia, Louisiana, who passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Lowell and Lillian Gabriel Reynolds; his brothers, James "Jim" Reynolds, Father Fred G and S. J.; and his nephew Jason Candella.
He is survived by: his wife Lynne Reynolds; his daughters, Shawn R. Marchand, Alison F. Reynolds and Dana R. Boudreaux (David); his sister Dolores A. Reynolds; his grandchildren, Stephanie Verret (Matthew), Collin Davis, Lacie Gorham (Matt), Kaylee Davis, Jackson Lucas and Lily Boudreaux; his great grandchildren, Ian Laprairie, Noah Laprairie and Juniper Gorham; and his sister-in-law Dianne Vincent.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM and on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Alexandria (701 Jackson St, Alexandria, LA 71301). A rosary was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral (626 4th St, Alexandria, LA 71301).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to The Wounded Warrior Project.
