With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Roger Reed (Alexandria, Louisiana), born in Ville Platte, Louisiana, who passed away on May 31, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Duos Reed; his son Daniel Roger Reed; his great grandchild Abby Christine Reed; his parents, Pearl Thibodeaux and John Reed; his stepfather Rodney Thibodeaux; his stepsiblings, Goldman Thibodeaux and Ramona T. Richard; and his half-brother Kenneth Reed.
He is survived by: his children, Christine R. Maxwell (Scotty), John Archer Reed (Jackie), Stephen Craig Reed, Jennifer R. Lawrence (Wynn) and Vicki R. Durham (Jay); his daughter-in-law Becky Reed; his grandchildren, Roger, Catherine M. McDaniel (Malloy), Angie M. Burris (Sidney), Marcie Maxwell, David Reed (Stephanie), Matthew Reed, Michael Reed (Ashley), Kimberly R. Sijm (Bas), Emily L. Eberts (Scott), Eric Lawrence (Jordan) and Sarah D. Foshee (Josh); his great grandchildren, Maxwell McDaniel, Murphy McDaniel, Vidrine McDaniel, Elizabeth Burris, Ryan Reed, Julianne Reed, Maggie Reed, Caroline Reed, Clara Reed, Juliette Reed, Isla Reed, Jucoby Sijm, Ivory Sijm, Ellajay Sijm, Carrie Eberts, Hilton Foshee and Harper Foshee; and his brother Keith Thibodeaux (Catherine). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
