She was predeceased by: her husband Marshall B. Newton, Sr.; her son Marshall B. Newton, Jr.; her great grandchild Angel-Lia Juline; and her parents, Arthur O. Brown and Pauline J. Brown.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Newton White (Greg) and Donna Newton Hodgkinson (Kyle); her adoptive son Randy "Potso" Dotson; her grandchildren, Kristy Self, Christopher Armand (Jennifer) and Shelby White; her great grandchildren, Ashton Chad, Judon Rain and Felix Graham; and her brothers, Skip Brown and Paul Brown. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
