He was predeceased by: his wife Lessie Mae Ebert Vercher; his parents, Phanor Vercher, Sr. and Lizzie Mae Delacerda Vercher; his sister-in-law Doris M. Vercher; his nephew Mark W. Vercher; his great-niece Jessica Vercher; his niece Michelle Vercher; his goddaughter Alice Faye Vercher; his stepsons, Michael Rachal and Wayne Rachal; and his close friend Patricia Byrd.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Carolyn Melder, Betty Cannon and Cindy Rollinson; and his brothers, Phanor Vercher, Jr. (Nelda) and Harold Vercher (Susie). He is also survived by 10 step-grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews.
