It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Louise Cox Self of Alexandria, Louisiana, who passed away on March 6, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Ralph Self; her parents, Leven Cox and Ida Mae Youngblood Cox; her brothers, Woodrow Cox, Edward Cox and Bobby W. Cox; and her son-in-law John Laseter.

She is survived by : her children, R. Dwayne Self (Tami), Elizabeth S. Laseter and Charlotte S. Pate (Randy); and her grandchildren, Kathryn Sargeant, Tiuana McDonald, Robert Smith, Jon-Thomas Smith, David Smith, Ashley Mandolfo and Charles Randy Pate, Jr.. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

A candle has been lit

“I feel I have lost a Dear Friend. .Since early. 1970’s, I think 1971 was our first meeting at St.Clair Baptist Church. Went to church one Cold Sunday Morning to hear Bro.Self’s sermon. That began my Love for The Self Family. From this point we became very close. Seeing our children growing up becoming close friends, Loving. DeWayne, Beth, and Charlotte, She Loving my Marguerite. A Great Christian Lady is My description of Louise Self, My Dear Loved friend will truly be missed by me & othe”
