He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Carvan; and his sister Patricia Bartell. He is survived by: his mother Faye McDaniel of Deville; his siblings, John Carvan (Deirdre) of Austin, Texas, Karen McElroy (Keith) of East Providence, Yvonne Keefe (James) of South Hampton and Stephanie Burnaman (Kent) of Deville; his nieces and nephews, Mark Means, Zachary Burnaman, Liam Keefe, Caitlin Keefe, Caleb Carvan, Matthew Riggs-Carr and Shannon Holland; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brody Burnaman, Kobyn Burnaman, Johnny Krafka, Jessica Krafka and Clayton Holland; Raedon and Jurnee.
