Rachel Smith Obituary

Rachel Nell Smith, 59, passed away suddenly on July 29, 2017 in Alexandria, LA. Born on August 23, 1957 in Pineville, Rachel was a graduate of Peabody High School and became a Certified Nursing Assistant. Through the years, Rachel found joy in helping others. Her service to Federal Judge Nauman S. Scott and his family, will always be remembered and appreciated. In her years as a Certified Nursing Assistant, she cared for many elderly and infirmed in the Alexandria area. In recent years, her greatest pleasure was her great grandson. Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lynell Leggett Smith of Alexandria, Louisiana and Bogue Chitto, Mississippi respectively. Rachel is survived by her daughter, Allisa Smith, grandson, William Khristopher Smith, and great grandson, William Khristopher Lemon, all of Alexandria, Louisiana. She will be dearly missed by William Bruins and Irene Brown as well as other lifelong friends. On Saturday, August 19, 2017 a visitation will be held at Robinson Family Mortuary in Pineville at 9:00 am followed by a Homegoing Celebration at 10:00 am. Reverend Floyd Kirk will preside. Burial will immediately follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Robinson Family Mortuary.
