With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Samuel Michael Thiels of Alexandria, Louisiana, who passed away on July 19, 2021 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Louis Thiels and Bessie Thiels; and his siblings, Kathleen Poole, Jane Thiels and Noel Thiels.

He is survived by : his wife Fran Lachney Thiels of Alexandria; his daughter Stacey Whaley (Robin) of New Orleans; and his grandson Brian Whaley of New Orleans.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association at American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association 10 Glenlake Pkwy NE South Tower Suite 400 Atlanta, GA 30328.
