He is survived by: his wife Brenda Louise Smith; his children, Kamela Dauntain of Orlando, FL, Nytasha Obasi (Mary) of Brooklyn, NY and Derrick Smith (Jamie) of Waxhaw, NC.; his grandchildren, Jasmine Thomas of Orlando, FL, Gabrielle Dauntain, Alysia Dauntain of Charlotte, NC, Johnathan Dauntain of Orlando, FL and Ellia Smith of Waxhaw, NC.; his great grandchild Kyrin McClain of Orlando, FL.; his siblings, Leon Smith (Debra) of Alexandria, LA and Linda McJunkin (Ray) of Dallas, TX.; and his sisters-in-law, Mable Smith of Alexandria, LA and Ossie Smith of Gretna, LA.. He is also survived by family member and friends.
