The passing of Elizabeth Dykes of Amite, Louisiana, born in Carthage, Mississippi leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 21, 2024 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by : her husband Herbert T. "Tag" Dykes; her son Richard W. Dykes; her parents, Fountain Young and Inez Morgan Young; and her brothers, Fountain Young, Willie Young and Robert Larry Young.

She is survived by : her children, Tommy Dykes (Ann Watermeier) and Sherri Dykes Rardon; her grandchildren, Chansley Dykes, Kelly Hoover (Darrel) and Haley Hicks (Tim); and her great grandchildren, Carson, Caleb Hoover, Timmy, Harper and Finley Hicks.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pine Grove Methodist Church (3335 LA-449, Pine Grove, LA 70453). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
