We announce the death of George Lewis Hyde of Amite, Louisiana, who passed away on October 31, 2026, at the age of 99. George will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Millie Hyde; his children, Gerald Hyde and Bonnie Mildred Hyde; his parents, Willie Hyde and Lillian Hyde; his sisters, Ruth Hyde Spring and Wilda Hyde Hayden; and his son-in-law Norman Foxworth.
He is survived by: his daughter Beth Foxworth; his granddaughters, Katee Laborde (Brian) and Amy Rivet (Brian); and his great grandchildren, Evan, Spencer Laborde and John Rivet.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the McKneely Funeral Home - Amite (110 E Factory St, Amite City, LA 70422). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
