With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Jenkins of Amite, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George M. Jenkins and Beatrice Hale Jenkins; his parents-in-law, Fred P. Smart and Bessie Williams Smart; and his siblings, Shirley Primes, Francine Jenkins and Gerald M. Jenkins.

He is survived by: the mother of his children Carolyn Smart Jenkins; his daughters, Cindy Jenkins Giron (Carlos), Becki Jenkins and Calli Jenkins Hughes (John Ashley); his grandchildren, Bess Giron-Tycer (Laton), Kane McPherson (Carolyn), Conner Alston (Shelbie), Blaise Giron, Zach Perry Messina, Ashton Hughes and Cate Alston; and his great grandchildren, Russell Luke Alston and George Porter McPherson.
